Spring factor (k):
Force acting for unit extension produced is called spring factor.
1. When two springs connected in series,
force experienced by both springs is same.
Total extension (x) is sum of individual extension.
2. When two springs are in parallel,
Net force experienced is the sum of force experienced in both springs. But the extension will be the same.
Feq = F1 + F2
Keqx =K1 X + K2X
⇒ Keq = K1 + K2
