Find the area of the region enclosed by the parabola x² = y, the line y = x + 2 and the x – axis.

x² = y is an upward parabola line y = x +2

They meet at pts (2, 4) and (-1, 1) 

By solving the equation 

x² = y, y = x + 2 

⇒ x²– x – 2 = 0 

⇒ x = 2 or -1 

y = 4 or 1
