Best answer
Protein Carbohydrates fat cost
Foods A 2 6 1 8
B 1 1 3 5
Minimum requirement 8 12 9

Let the units of food A be x & food B be y

Minimize z = 8x + 5y subject to the constraints

2x + y ≥ 8

6x + y ≥ 12

x + 3y ≥ 9

x, y ≥ 0 : x – y ≥ 0
