C₈H₆O₄ + NH₃ ----> C₈H₅O₂N + 2H₂O

This is because the two OH of phallic acid or 1,2 dicarboxylic benzene form water with two hydrogen of NH₃ and the phallic acid without the OH bond reacts with a imide or NH to form phtalimide
