The correct option is (i) 

  • Stability of carbocation depends on several factors but resonance outweighs every other factor.
  • Due to more resonance, benzyl carbocation is most stable.

I think it is the option (i) because the more phenol group attached to a crbocation more it is stable the others are arranged on the order more number of resonance structure

I wrote exactly the same as you wrote only difference is that I said that a crbocation is more stable when a phenol group is attached to it
