A sinusoidal carrier signal of peak amplitude 5V and frequency 100 kHz is amplitude modulated by a 5 kHz signal of peak amplitude 3V. What is modulation index? Draw the spectrum of modulated signal.

VC = 5V,

fc = 100kHz,

Vm = 3V,

fm = 5kHz

Modulation index,

ma\(\frac{V_m}{V_C}=\frac{3}{5}=0.6\)
