How are primary lymphoid organs different from secondary lymphoid organs. Give an example of each.

Primary lymphoid organs: 

These are the lymphoid organs where immature lymphocytes differentiate into antigen sensitive lymphocytes.

E.g. Bonemarrow, thymus.

Secondary lymphoid organs: 

These are the lymphoid organs where the interaction occurs between lymphocytes and antigen and proliferation occurs.

E.g. Spleen, tonsil.
