Consider the circuit shown in figure (32-E8). Find the current through the 10Ω resistor when the switch S is (a) open (b) closed.

When S is open

Req = (10 + 20)Ω = 30Ω.

i = When S is closed,

Req = 10Ω

i = (3/10)Ω = 0.3Ω.

You did wrong haven't find

When switch is open

I =3v/30ohm

I=0.1A
