G.F.R.= \(\frac {\textit{No. of of live births occuring in the year}}{\textit{Average population of women of child bearing age in the year}} \times 1000\)

\(\frac{1878}{36320}\) x 1000

GF.R. = 51.7

Here women of child bearing age is (15-49) years only.

A.S.F.R for the age group (20-29) in the year

=  \(\frac {\textit{No. of live births occurring in the year to women of the age group(20-29)}}{\textit{Average population of women of age group (20-29)in the year}} \times 1000\)
