The above vertical bar graph represents two kinds of data viz, the number of employees and the number branches of the State Bank of India from 1960 to 2000. In 1960 twenty thousand branches were there all over India. The number of employees was 25 lakhs and it increased to 35 lakhs and 45 lakhs in 1970 and 1980 respectively. The number of branches in 1970 was thirty thousand and forty thousand in 1970 and 1980 respectively. After 1990 there was a drastic change-that the number of branches went on increasing but number of employees started decreasing due to computerisation. In 1990, fifty thousand branches were there and it remained same till 2000. But the number of employees decreased to forty thousand and thirty thousand in 1990 and 2000 respectively.
