All the Dignitaries on the dais, Ladies and Gentlemen, I am very glad to speak on Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the Father of Indian Constitution on the auspicious occasion of Iris birthday. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was born on 14th April 1891 to Ramji and Bhimabai. He was very intelligent from his childhood days itself. He completed his matriculation in Elphinston School. He completed his college education from Elphinston College. Ambedkar got the help of Maharaja of Baroda and went to America for higher studies. He finished M.Sc and D.Sc degrees from Columbia University and London School of Economics. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was a voracious reader, social reformer and a journalist; he wrote articles on many topics. He struggled very hard to bring about a change in the society. He worked for equality. His greater contribution is framing Indian constitution. Hence, he is called as Father of the Constitution of India. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar passed away in the year 1956.
