Hydrogen and oxygen are collected by the electrolysis of water. Hydrogen is collected at the cathode and oxygen is collected at the anode. Hydrogen is two times of oxygen and they are in the ratio 2 : 1. Its formula is H2O. The gases collected in the test tubes are Hydrogen and Oxygen.
