Let the small number be ‘x’.

Square of the smaller number is 8 times the larger number.

∴ x2 = 8 × Larger number.

∴ Larger number = \(\frac{1}{8}\)x2

Difference of these numbers is 180.

∴ Smaller number is 12,

Larger number is 18.
