Best answer

Initial velocity of the bus u = 80 kmh-1

80 x \(\frac{5}{18}\) = 22.22 m/s

60 x \(\frac{5}{18}\) = 16.66 m/s

Final velocity, V = 60 km/h

time taken to decrease the velocity of bus, t = 5 seconds

acceleration, a = 5 seconds

Velocity a = \(\frac{v-u}{t}\)

\(\frac{16.66-22.22}{5}\)

= -1.112 ms-2.
