y = 9600

It is also given that, y is 24% of z

Which implies, y = z × (24/100)

Substituting y = 9600 in the above equation we get,

9600 = z × (24/100)

Which implies, z = (9600 × 100) / 24

z = 96000/24

z = 40000

∴ y = 9600 and z = 40000
