Best answer

Mass of a substance = 50g

Volume of substance = 20 cm3

∴ Density of substance, d = \(\frac{Mass}{Volume}\)

\(\frac{50}{20}\) = 2.5 g cm-3

i.e., the density of the substance is greater than the density of water. So it will sink in water.
