The diameter of the base of a right circular cylinder is 42 cm and its height is 10 cm. Find the volume of the cylinder.

We have,

Diameter of base of cylinder = 42 cm

Radius of base = d/2 = 42/2 = 21cm

Height = 10 cm

∴ Volume of cylinder = πr2h

= 22/7 × 21 × 21 × 10

= 13860 cm3
