In Fig., if AB ∥ CD and CD ∥ EF, find ∠ACE

Given that, AB ∥ CD and CD ∥ EF

Sum of the interior angles,

∠CEF + ∠ECD = 180°

130° + ∠ECD = 180°

∠ECD = 180° – 130°

∠ECD = 50°

We know that alternate angles are equal

∠BAC = ∠ACD

∠BAC = ∠ECD + ∠ACE

∠ACE = 70° – 50°

∠ACE = 20°

Therefore, ∠ACE = 20°
