The measures of the act 1956 introduced by sinhales govt. made the sri Lankan Tamils feel alienated:

1. They felt that one of the major political parties led by the buddhist Sinhalese were sensitive only to their culture and language.

2. They also felt that the constitutions and govt. policies denied them equal political right .

3. Thus , they realised that govt. has discriminate against getting them in other jobs and other opportunities on by ignoring their interest.

4. As a rest ,the realisation between the Sinhalese and Tamil communities strained over time.
