We know that, the relation between wavelength and frequency is given by,
\(\lambda=\frac{c}{v}\)
or,
\(v=\frac{c}{\lambda}\)
Where v = frequency of light
c = velocity of light in vaccum = 3 × 108 m/s
λ = wavelength of yellow light = 580 × 10-9 m (Given)
Substituting the values, we get
v = \(\frac{3 \times 10^{8}}{580 \times 10^{-9}}\)
= 5.17 × 1014s-1
