Best answer

Let, oxidation number of oxygen in H2O2 = x
2(+1) + 2x = 0
2 + 2x = 0
2x = -2
x = \(\frac{-2}{2}\) = -1
∴ The oxidation number of oxygen (O) in H2O2 is -1.
