There are following four uses of hydrogen peroxide:
1. It is used as a hair bleach and as a mild disinfectant in daily life.
2. It is used to manufacture chemicals like sodium perborate and per carbonate which are used in high quality detergents.
3. It is used in the industries as a bleaching agent for textiles, paperpulp, leather etc.
4. It is used to remove blackness of lead paintings in ancient times. Hydrogen peroxide changes black lead sulphide to white lead sulphate.
