National Integration: It is often said that India has never been a nation. The diversity of languages, modes of life and variety of geographical details are brought in to prove it. But, the places of pilgrimage in India from Badrinath and Haridwar to Rameshwaram and Kanyakumari have certain basic ethical and philosophic concepts and certain beliefs shared by people all over the country. The enemies of national integration stress on the differences ignoring the various binding factors. National integration becomes a problem only because of the divisive forces raised by vested interests. People have to be educated and television, radio and the press must be used to resist the forces of disintegration.
