  • A room-temperature superconductor is a material that is capable of exhibiting superconductivity at temperatures around 77 degrees Fahrenheit. 
  • Current superconductors work when cooled near absolute zero, and the warmest superconductor, hydrogen sulfide, works at -95 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • A room-temperature superconductor is a material that is capable of exhibiting superconductivity at operating temperatures above 0 °C (273 K; 32 °F).
  • The vast majority of the known superconductors have transition temperatures that lie between 1 K and 10 K. 
  • Of the chemical elements, tungsten has the lowest transition temperature, 0.015 K, and niobium the highest, 9.2 K.
