ENZYMES:

(1) Enzymes perform reaction at their site of origin

(2) All enzymes are generally proteins in nature except ribosymes.

(3) Enzymes do not translocate from one part to another part of cell.

(4) They are macromolecules with high molecular weight.

HORMONES:

(1) Hormones perform activity at some distance from the site of origin.

(2) Hormones can be steroids, polypeptides, amines, terpenoids.

(3) Hormones exhibit polar translocation.

(4) Hormones have low molecular weight.
