Sophie was a school going girl. She belonged to a lower middle-class family. Her father worked hard to earn for the family. Geoff was her elder brother and Derek was her younger brother. She trusted her elder brother Geoff. He was always the first to share her secrets. But Derek made fun of her. Her father was of an aggressive nature. He didn’t believe in Sophie’s wild stories. Sophie dreamt of falling in love with Danny Casey, an Irish football player. She cooked up the story of her meeting with Danny and shared it with Geoff. When Geoff told his father the same, he looked at Sophie with hatred. Her father was fond of football. Her serious weakness was that she was a daydreamer told lies and took great pleasure in being lost in Casey’s dreams.
