Let us consider the SP of 15 candles = ₹100

∴ The CP of 12 candles = SP of 15 candles = ₹100

CP of 15 candles = (100/12) × 15 = ₹125

Since, SP is less than CP so it’s a loss.

Loss = CP – SP = 125 – 100 = ₹25

Loss % = (loss × 100) / CP

= (25 × 100) / 125

= 20%

∴ The Loss percent is 20%
