A Report on the impact of Swachch Bharat Abhiyan Campaign in Rajasthan

The recently launched ‘Swachch Bharat Abhiyan’ has transformed the largest state in India, as people from all walks of life, school students and government employees took it upon themselves to remove garbage and clean up neighbourhoods and public places. More than 2.5 lakh toilets have been built with government funding and open defecation has been made a penal offence. Garbage bins have been installed in all residential localities in most cities while villagers have been urged to convert their domestic organic waste and dung into compost. The campaign has been a grand success in Rajasthan the land of the Royals.
