(a) Four labelling A - Pollen grain
B - Pollen tube C - Ovary
D - Female germ cell

(b) Definition : Transfer of pollen grains from anther to stigma.
Significance: To bring about fertilization.

(c) As the pollen lands on the suitable stigma a pollen tube grows through the style carrying the male germ cell. It reaches the ovary and the male germ cell fuses with the female germ cell and thus fertilization takes place.

(i) Seed → Ovule
(ii) Fruit → Ovary
