Given θ = 45°

then tan θ = m = tan 45° = 1

⇒ m = 1

equation of line passing through point (2, 3)

y – y₁ = m (x – x₁)

⇒ y – 3 = 1 (x – 2)

⇒ y – 3 = x – 2

⇒ x – y + 3 – 2 = 0

⇒ x – y + 1 = 0

Thus required equation of straight line is

x – y + 1 = 0
