In relation to the origin of the Earth, important information is found in Indian texts. In the book ‘Aryabhatiya’ written by Aryabhatta, the earth is said to be spherical. Great Indian astrophysicist Aryabhatta said that the earth is round like a ball and spinning on its axis from west to east direction, creating night and day.
