It is given that

f(x) = (2x- 7)/ 4

We know that

y = (2x- 7)/ 4

It can be written as

4y = 2x – 7

So we get

4y + 7 = 2x

Where x = (4y + 7)/2

So, f -1 = (4y + 7)/2 for all y ∈ R.
