Wegener considered the following two forces responsible for the flow of continents.
1. Gravity and flotation force.
2. Tidal force.
1. Gravity and flotation force: This force led the movement of the land towards the equator (north side). Due to this force, India, Australia, Madagascar and Antarctica were created.
2. Tidal force: Due to this force, the land was moved westwards, which led to the creation of North and the South America.
