The alkene formed has the closed formula C5H8 and, after hydrogenation of this alkene, a saturated product is formed. Find the structure of the product formed by writing the reaction mechanism.

CH9Br + KOH(in ethanol) → C5H8 + KBr + H2O

C5H8 + H2 → C5H10
