3. It has strategic importance as it acts as a barrier between India and Pakistan.
4. Due to physical diversities, it attracts many tourists towards India.
5. The semi – arid regions of Thar are suitable for animal herding.
6. The soil found here is fertile and the availability of water for irrigation purposes can transform it into agricultural land.
