Characteristics of Autumn season:
1. This season lies between mid September to December.
2. Autumn starts when the sun begins to move towards the south.
3. Maximum temperature in this season is 30° – 35°C which reduces to 25°C in the coastal regions by December.
4. The condition of atmospheric pressure is opposite as compared to summer.
5. Monsoon winds start reversing due to the changes in atmospheric pressure.
6. In this season, some rainfall occurs in Tamil Nadu and coastal regions by the retreating monsoon.
