Much benefit has not been derived from evergreen forests in India due to the following reasons: 

1. The wood of these forests is hard. 

2. Different types of trees are found at one place. 

3. Being highly dense, it is very difficult to cut evergreen forests. 

4. Due to lack of means of transport, it is hard to carry the products of these forests.
