Arithmetic mean = \(\frac { { \Sigma f }_{ i }{ x }_{ i } }{ { \Sigma f }_{ i } }\) = \(\frac { 1980 }{ 40 }\) = 49.50

Thus, mean of daily wages = Rs 49.50
