Mr. Rajan got a job at the age of 24 years.

He got retired at the age of 60 years.

He worked for (60 – 24) years = 36 years

∴ The required fraction = 36/40 = (36 ÷ 12)/ (60 ÷ 12) = 3/5.

[ ∵ H.C.F. of 36 and 60 is 12]
