The perimeter of the lawn in front of Molly’s house

= 2(length + breadth)

= 2(12 + 8) m = 2(20) m = 40 m

The perimeter of the lawn in front of Dolly’s house = 2(length + breadth)

= 2(15 + 5) m = 2 × 20 m = 40 m

∴ Total length of fencing for both the lawns = (40 + 40) m = 80 m
