The author wanted to make his son to adjust himself in school. He tells us that his son was very spoiled. He had lived in his own way. He was a leader among his childhood friends. The child has now become a boy. He has to settle himself in this world. He would face some unavoidable rubs and uncertain reception in this world. The writer wanted to teach him how he should live a good life. With this purpose in his mind he wrote this letter to his son who was a little fellow for him.
