If I had a wood, I would like to be a calm, satisfied owner. I shall not consider myself an important man. I shall try to preserve my wood from encroachment. To protect my land is my prime duty. I shall look after the land very well. I shall make my wood beautiful by planting trees and bushes of flowers. One should have a broad view. If one has good and sufficient property, those who are poor and needy should be helped. They should be given adequate opportunity in my wood where they can work and earn enough money so that they can look after themselves. Having property does not mean to be wicked.
यदि मेरे पास जंगल होता, मैं एक शांत, सन्तुष्ट मालिक बनना चाहता। मैं अपने आपको महत्त्वपूर्ण व्यक्ति नहीं मानता। मैं मेरे जंगल की रक्षा करने का प्रयास करता कि उस पर अतिक्रमण नहीं हो। मेरी जमीन की सुरक्षा करना मेरा प्राथमिक कार्य है। मैं बहुत अच्छी तरह से जमीन की देखभाल करता। मैं मेरे जंगल को पौधे और फूलों की झाड़ियाँ लगाकर सुन्दर बनाता। किसी को वृहत् दृष्टिकोण रखना चाहिए। यदि किसी के पास अच्छी और पर्याप्त सम्पत्ति है तो उसे गरीब और जरूरतमंद लोगों की सहायता करनी चाहिए। उन्हें पर्याप्त अवसर मेरे जंगल में देकर जहाँ वे काम करके पर्याप्त धन कमा सकें जिनसे कि वे अपनी देखभाल कर सकें। सम्पत्ति रखने का तात्पर्य दुष्ट होने से नहीं है।
