On the planet earth, most of the freshwater exists as ice caps and glaciers. 

Out of the remaining freshwater, the largest proportion

(c) The percentage of freshwater that exists on earth is 3% out of which almost 70% is icecaps and glaciers. And the remaining 30% is the ground water. Lakes, rivers and swamps are approximately 10% of that 30% of ground water.
