There is a particular form to open a bank account in the bank or post office, which has to be filled up after obtaining it. After this, witness of such a person is required who is known to that post office or bank (account holder) in the form of proof of that person and his/her residence, who is going to open the account. After this, one’s photo and identity card is affixed on the form and account can be opened by providing a particular amount. At present, provision of opening a bank account at zero balance (minimum balance amount) is also there.
