Main works of leaf :
1. Leaves of green plants prepare food material in the presence of sunlight carbon dioxide, water and chlorophyll. It is called as photosynthesis.
2. Food synthesized by leaves ultimately gets stored as starch in different parts of the plant.
3. Stomata are present on the surface of the leaves. Leaves respire through these stomata.
