Best answer

Given: A bag contains 4 white and 5 black balls

Total number of balls = 4 + 5 = 9

Total number of white balls = 4

We know,

Probability of occurrence of an event = (Total number of favorable outcomes) / (Total number of outcomes)

So, P(getting white ball) = 4/9
