1. Animals and plants take oxygen from the atmosphere and give out carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere.
2. During photosynthesis, plants take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen gas.
3. The above mentioned processes occur simultaneously and so, the proportion of oxygen and carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere remain constant. So, plants and animals are interdependent.
