(i) The forts were constructed on high altitudes. The walls of the fort were very thick.
(ii) Holes were also made on the upper parts of the walls from where the soldiers could see any attacking army and fire bullets from there for their defence.
(iii) There were small pointed nails on the gates of the fort.
(iv) There were turrets in the forts.
(v) There were many beautiful palaces which were constructed for the residence of the kings and his family members.
(vi) The architecture and the sculptures on the forts were very attractive.
