By multiplying x and y we get

So we get

2x – y = 10

3x + y = 5

Solving both the equations we get

5x = 15 where x = 3

Substituting the values of x in any one of the equation

2x – y = 10

We get

2(3) – y = 10

So y = 6 – 10 = -4

Therefore, x = 3 and y = -4.
