Answer  (D) x + 3/x

An expression of the form p(x) = a0 + a1x + a2x2 + ….. + anxn, where an ≠ 0, is called a polynomial in x of degree n.

Here, a0, a1, a2, ……, an are real numbers and each power of x is a non-negative integer.

Hence, x + 3/x is not a polynomial.

3. The zeros of the polynomial x2 - 2x - 3 are

(A) -3, 1

(B) -3, -1

(C) 3, -1

(D) 3, 1
